Recent Change to Checking Account Regulations
A recent change to checking account regulations was approved by the Federal Government (effective August 15, 2010 for existing customers), which will affect the level of service we provide to you. Your action is required or a portion of your checking account features will no longer apply to your account.

A revision to Regulation E (Reg. E) requires us to obtain your approval before we consider payment of your ATM withdrawals and debit card purchases that may create an overdraft in your checking account. We may currently provide this service to you as part of our Overdraft Privilege (ODP) service.

The majority of our customers prefer having this service to avoid the embarrassment of having their debit card purchases denied in situations such as at a restaurant when trying to pay the bill, at the grocery store checkout counter, or at the pharmacy when
you’re paying for prescriptions.

To continue receiving the same level of service, you will need to read this Opt-In Form (PDF). After reviewing, you may opt in by returning the form by mail or in person, or by calling Old Missouri Bank at 417-869-9000. Once you “opt-in” to the Overdraft Privilege service (ODP), we will send you a letter to confirm your choice.

We appreciate having you as our customer, and are committed to providing you with clear information, as well as additional Overdraft Protection options, such as a Line of Credit Overdraft Protection (DDL)* or Transfer Overdraft Protection. There are no charges for these services unless you use them.

If you have any questions, please contact a customer service representative by calling 417-869-9000.

NOTICE OF CHANGES IN TEMPORARY FDIC INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR TRANSACTION ACCOUNTS
All funds in a "noninterest-bearing transaction account" are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.
The term "noninterest-bearing transaction account" includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It also includes Interest on Lawyers Trust Accounts ("IOLTAs"). It does not include other accounts, such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts and money-market deposit accounts.
